Avengers Chibis by Bulls-i-Toy

I'm not sure what to say about these guys, I'm undecided how I feel about the character design.  That may be because I'm spoiled by the coolness of the Grab Zags Avengers.

The figures are made of the same kind of plastic as crazy bones so they make a kind of satisfying sound when you shake them in your hand like dice. So they've got that goin' for 'em.

I picked up two bags at Target (3 figures per bag) and got half of the available characters. I may try one more time for an Iron Man and Captain America, but then I'm done . . .

maybe . . .

Grab Zags Avengers

I recently grabbed five packs of the original Marvel Grab Zags.  I got one mini figure and four pens.  The pens are very cool and I was all set to post on them until I found these last night.

For only $1.99 the quality here is stellar. These figure look great, I've seen shoddier quality in blind box figures costing at least twice as much.

As pointed out by other folks each figure comes with a stand, which is really well executed and necessary because of the dynamic poses these guys are sculpted in.

The little insert says to be on the lookout for the "rare" Captain America, I found him.

I'm going to grab more soon, I really want to complete the roster.

I'll also be watching the stores for the Halloween ones come fall.

Walgreens Again

I stopped in at Walgreens for some medicine (and of course to look for some Zombie S.L.U.G. figures) this evening.  I came up empty handed on the Zombies but did come across an entire end cap of Avengers movie stuff.  Some of it pretty strange, including Avengers lip gloss rings.

But then I saw these . . .

I grabbed 5 bags, full review to follow.

What's in all those bins anyways?

In an effort to start a weekly feature, I present to you "What's in all those bins anyways?"

Each week I'll grab a bin, dump it out and explore the contents.

Some bins are very focused and contain just a certain action figure line, others are the result of an impromptu shelf clearing, while others are still as they were when first filled over a decade ago.

For this first entry, I grabbed one on top, that I'm pretty sure is a result of me cleaning off my desk or a shelf recently, as I've handled a bunch of this stuff in recent memory.

So, without further ado, let's dump this one out and see what we've got.

Well, before digging too deep, I see a Mad Ball knockoff, some Fisher Price Little People, a tiki air freshener and some wind up toys, let's see what else we got after we tidy up a bit.

Alright, whadda we have here, some plastic fish and snakes, a chicken Mighty Bean, a Patrick from Sponge Bob Lego key chain, a Scooby Doo, a robot dinosaur marker, some "Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot" toys, a Shrek cereal premium and some other odds and ends.

Ahh yes, I remember now, this must be my emergency preparedness kit.  No, just the result of several moves and previous attempts at cleaning and organizing.

Well, that was the first installment of "What's in all those bins anyways?", who knows what the next plastic shoe box may hold.

S.L.U.G. Zombie Surprise

So this morning while out running a few errands I found myself in Walgreens.  I had just grabbed a couple little things and was waiting to check out.  I took in the tabloid headlines and the sea of gum options when I glanced down and saw this.

WHAT?!?!? Two random blind packed single S.L.U.G. Zombies.  The only two on the shelf, all by themselves.  I may have been a bit too excited as I snatched them off the shelf and placed them with my other items, think I caught a strange disapproving look from the teenage cashier.

So instead of looking in Toys R Us or Target, the impulse purchase shelf at the drug store is where it's at.

They are very reminiscent of Monster in my Pocket & M.U.S.C.L.E., every bit as fun as expected.
